By public transport

From Lucerne’s main train station, take the bus n° 21 and get out at the bus stop Waldwinkel. Journey time: about 16 minutes. From there it is only a two minutes’ walk. The current timetable can be downloaded here: www.vbl.ch

By car

Access from the A2 motorway: From Basel/Bern, Zürich

Use the Luzern-Horw exit. Always follow the signs "Horw" up to the large roundabout in the center of Horw. The district Kastanienbaum is sign posted here. Follow these signs to the lake. You are driving straight towards the Hotel Kastanienbaum. It's only a minute away from here. Parking spaces are in front of the house (2 extra parking spots on the opposite side of the road towards Lucerne). Travel time from the motorway approx. 8 minutes.

From Gotthard / Brünig

Use the exit Horw. Then towards Kriens, at the roundabout (McDonald's) use the third exit towards Horw / Kastanienbaum and always follow the signs Kastanienbaum. You are driving straight towards the Hotel Kastanienbaum. It's only a minute away from here. Parking spaces are in front of the house. Travel time from the motorway approx. 8 minutes.
